We needed to establish a new standard for tracking steel to match modern production automation technologies. Our goal was to streamline the process of gathering official signatures and certificate data, which currently takes too long and causes delays in the supply chain. The existing digitalization methods are not secure enough to protect documents from manipulation, tampering, and unauthorized copying. Therefore, we aimed to develop a new system that brings quality management and inspection into the digital age, utilizing platform technologies, mobile devices, standardization, and blockchain technology.

SAPIENTROQ developed a platform that offers the following capabilities: 

- Collecting all product-related data in a digital format that can be cross-referenced with specification rules.

 - Assigning a unique digital identity to each product, which cannot be forged or duplicated. 

- Cryptographically signing certificates with a key linked to the data provider, ensuring certificates cannot be falsified. 

- Storing all certificates digitally, making them fully searchable and traceable. - Enabling instant retrieval of certificate data.

The platform allowed to onboard 3 top European companies in the chemical and petrochemical industry. Additionally, it attracted more investments to support further development.
